We are in the home stretch with swim team! We have about a 1 1/2 weeks of practice and our last meet in next Wed! Woooohoooo!!!Don't get me wrong, I love that the girls do this every summer. Rm has shaved over 20 sec. off of her free and over 5-10 sec off the other strokes this summer. Cg struggled this year. She entered a new age bracket (the 9-10's) and was one of the younger swimmers, so she didn't make as strong a showing as she did last year. But she has improved all of her strokes as well.
But this is a time consuming activity (as you all know!). The whole team is run by the parents, so we are required to work a minimum of 3 meets, I run the pep rallies and I photograph many of the meets. Whew!
But the end is in sight (did I mention it's next Wed.?) and then begins the Vacation! We are headed to TN baby!

You are a good Mom. Enjoy this time.....I know I did with my girls, and now that they are grown, they are fond memories. Priceless moments.

We did swim meets for years....I like to be a timer;) Have a fun trip! I grew up in Tennessee.
Hi Trac, Looks like both girls have done well with their swimming this summer. That is GOOD!!!!!
I know you'll be glad for a break--but this is just SO important for your girls. I hate to see kids sit around doing nothing all summer.
